Thanks to DD Tannenbaum!

Woo! Weekend's work saved!

This merits a question for all you writers out there:

What software do you use to write novels, and how well does it perform after about page 250?

I'm glad you got it back!

I use Open Office on my eee, which seems very stable even for long documents. I've got a copy of Word on my old computer but I don't use it much anymore except to do some formatting that I can't figure out how to do in OO (specifically, having the header appear starting on page 2 rather than page 1).

There's something marvelous about having your ass saved by a bearded gent named "Christmas Tree".

Patrice, what do you write in?

(I have Redgold Bridge on my kitchen table right now, for reading when I get back from grad school. I'm looking forward to it! I'll probably post a review-like object when I do get a chance to read it.)
